Itinerary

We depart from Saundersfoot's blue flag beach and head across the golden sand to the water’s edge. Fom here we enter the water in Amphibious mode and commence our transition to boat.

 

We set a course towards Monkstone Point, a headland which lies south east of Saundersfoot and a popular fishing spot with both local anglers and the charter fishing boats.

As we round the point, we find Monkstone Beach tucked away behind the headland. This secluded beach is only accessible by foot or Amphibious Boat. It is popular with those looking for peace and tranquility.

​

We continue along the coastline, where the geography transforms from gentle sandy beach to dramatic vertical cliffs. 

​

On the horizon standing tall above the Tenby skyline we get our first view of St Marys Church spire. Located is the centre of Tenby, the church was Grade I listed in 1951, being of exceptional architectural and historical interest.

​

Just a little further along the coast we pass Waterwynch House, a fine property with direct access to a secluded beach. High up on the cliff we glimpse several recently constructed properties including the Huf House, all with commanding views of Carmarthen Bay.

​

As we get closer to Tenby, the colourful houses that stand tall above North Beach come into view.  For many there is no better view of Tenby and it is a perfect spot to capture some photos.

​

From North Beach we alter course and head towards the new and the former Life Boat Station.  The later was converted into a private residence that featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs.

​

Castle beach now comes into view, one of Tenby’s three Blue Flag beaches and at low tide the pedestrian access route to Saint Catherine’s Island.

​

The Island is home to Saint Catherine’s Fort, a listed 19th century naval fort which is due to be redeveloped into a tourist attraction in the near future.

​

If conditions allow we pass through the narrow channel that lies between Saint Catherine’s and Skier Rock. A small outcrop of rocks often occupied by sea birds.

​

As we round the southern side of the fort, Tenby South Beach comes into view along with the magnificent residences that perch high up on the cliff edge.

​

Passing along the promenade, the landscape softens to the mile-long sandy beach and rolling sand dunes that extend to Giltar Point. 

​

After a brief opportunity to take a few final photos, your skipper will set a course for our return journey to Saundersfoot.
